Rockie Mutenha (MSC. Marketing Mgt (NUST); Msc Strategic Mgt (CUT); MBA (AU))

Rockie brings with him vast experience in managing businesses in the agro industry. He has held executive positions with various reputable organisations which include’ Agricultural Finance Corporation (Branch Manager – 10 yrs), Cotton Company of Zimbabwe (General Manager Operations – 7 years), FSI Cotton Pvt Ltd. (General Manager Operations – 3 years), Cairns Foods (SBU Director – Canning – 2 years) and Westbay Agro Industries (MD for years).

In all the above organisations, he has been instrumental in the formulation and implementation of turn-around strategies, among them being: Agricultural lending policies; Contract farming schemes; Inputs credit schemes; Business re-structuring and change management.



Ronald Ngoni Samuriwo (CIS)

Ronald is a Financial Administrator and Chartered Secretary by profession.

He joined the Agricultural Marketing Authority as Director Finance and Administration. He worked for the previous Agricultural Marketing Authority as its administrator for 8 years. After it was abolished in 1995, Ronald joined the insurance industry where he worked for 15 years. He brings with him wide knowledge and experience gained during his term of office in the previous AMA.




Nancy Zitsanza (BSc. Agric. Economics (UZ); Msc. Agric. Economics(Reading University))

Nancy has worked for the Ministry of Agriculture and Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe in various capacities and the last position she held was when she was seconded by the Reserve Bank to the Ministry of Agriculture, Mechanisation and Irrigation Development, in 2009-2010 as Director responsible for Economics and Markets. She is a well researched and experienced economic analyst having been a fellow of agricultural development programs funded by the Rockefeller and Kellogg Foundations in Southern Africa in the late 1990s. She has also set on boards of agricultural marketing institutions in the 1990s – 2000s.




Maxwell Chikanda (Bsc. Agric. Economics (UZ); Msc. Agric Economics (University of Pretoria))

Maxwell, a seasoned agricultural economist has over 18 years of public service work experience as well as 3 years of private sector work experience in both operational and managerial positions. A combination of academic and professional qualifications and hands on experience has moulded him into an achiever, excellent communicator, a team player and able leader.
In addition he has attended a wide range of professional courses in the field of agriculture, human resources management and development, policy development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
